As president Duterte reached his 100th day as the leader of the Philippines, he delightfully imparted to the public his life as the highest leader of the country on Friday afternoon. He spoke before the banana growers in Davao and recalled his past events as a child and related his situations now that he became the president of the country and how things changed for him. He also recalled his life when he was a student.

"When they were studying very hard I was enjoying my life taking most of my time. Mas maganda kasi ang kabataan mo kaysa dito sa…presidency. Susmaryosep! If you only knew...Kung pabalikin ang…ay susmaryo--I am the chief clerk of the government,"

Afterwards, he delivered his litany regarding his paper works and other related responsibilities. As president, he said, he has to check and read documents before approving them. With all his tasks, he could only rest by 2 to 4 a.m. Then, he begins another day at 1 p.m.
With wittiness he said, "Again, I go home. I do not eat dinner just yung finger food na sandwiches ang kinakain. Then I, that’s the routine. It’s lonely. Alone. ‘Di ko naman mayakap mga guwardya kay lalaki man. Walang babae kung minsan yung mga aide ko itong si…umuuwi man sila paghatid sa akin just to make sure I go home alive. After that kung mabangungot ako wala silang pakialam.”

Lastly, he complaint about his privacy since his movements are restricted."I do not have a privacy because you are not supposed to lock your door. You are not allowed to do that. Although they have not tried to open it up without knocking. And I haven’t experienced one na ginising ako but they are not…you cannot lock the door. I don’t know why. Basta makatulog ka diyan anong gawin mo? You can just leave it unlocked. Okay naman na. I suppose na baka may magnanakaw, huli nila agad but that’s the rationale of the life of a President. Beyond that there is nothing," Duterte shared.

PHL COAST GUARD SENT TO TEST THE WATERS AT SCARBOROUGH

Chinese Coast Guards

The Philippine Coast Guard is to be deployed to “test the waters” at the contested Scarborough Shoal or Panatag Shoal said Secretary Arthur Tugade of the Department of Transportation last Oct 27, 2016.

Tugade said to the reporters at MalacaƱang that the PCG's deployment would only involve "roving inspections and testing the waters" in the disputed shoal.

Tugade also doesn't believe a clash between the two Coast Guards will happenand said "That is farthest from our mind right now ."

Meanwhile, National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon and PCG Commander Armand Balilo earlier said that the Coast Guard would only patrol Panatag Shoal at a distance to avoid tension with the Chinese Coast Guard.

Chinese ships still remain stationed in the area, but Filipino fishermen aboard small boats were able to enter the lagoon of the shoal this past week.

Last month, President Rodrigo Duterte made a four-day state visit to China where he and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed to strengthen the two countries' cooperation in the field of fisheries.

Foreign Affairs Secretary Perfecto Yasay Jr. earlier said that there was no formal agreement between Philippines and China on the shoal.

"There is no agreement that has been arrived at with China insofar as these ships leaving or our fishermen having access to Scarborough but I would imagine as part of our quiet diplomacy trying to build mutual trust and confidence with two countries, these have been made possible," Yasay said.

China seized control of the Scarborough shoal or Panatag Shoal a U-shaped rock formation with a sprawling lagoon teeming with rich maritime resources, Back in 2012 following a maritime standoff with Philippine authorities.

Philippine officials insisted that the shoal, which is facing the South China Sea, is within the country’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ) as mandated by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, an agreement signed by 163 nations.

Misuari , thanked the President for restoring his "partial" freedom.

"I told our dear brother, the President, I was already determined to stay put in the mountains were it not for his call, were it not for his invitation. It’s just that I cannot reject his invitation because I respect him too much," Misuari said.
